The War of 2024
I very rarely recommend anything that comes from a Church source, but Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills nails it when he discusses the challenges of the 2024 political and social climate. As you can see from the “chapters” listed, the War of 2024 is against everything that followers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob hold sacred. Thankfully, he makes a distinction between “the Organized Church” and “Jesus’s Church.”

Virus X
At the end of Part 2 he refers to “Virus X.” I asked the Edge browser’s AI to find information about “Virus X” and got this response:
“Virus X” is a term used by the World Health Organization (WHO) to refer to a hypothetical virus that could cause a serious global epidemic or pandemic1. It is not a specific virus, but rather a placeholder for any unknown pathogen that could emerge and pose a threat to human health2. The WHO uses this term to encourage research and preparedness for such a scenario3.
Some examples of possible sources of “virus X” are:
- Viruses that are circulating in animals and could spill over to humans, such as bats, birds, or pigs24.
- Viruses that are engineered or modified in laboratories, either intentionally or accidentally5.
- Viruses that evolve or mutate to become more transmissible or deadly, such as influenza or coronavirus.
The WHO and other experts have been working on developing platform technologies, such as vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics, that could be quickly adapted and deployed in response to “virus X” if it emerges3 . However, there are still many challenges and uncertainties in this field, and the best way to prevent or contain a pandemic is to strengthen the global health system and surveillance.
