MILLIONS of Professing Believers Are Turning From God Because of This
Answers In Genesis Canada
Three fundamental tenets of the Secular Humanist religion.
MILLIONS of professing believers are turning from God because of this deception… What makes it more concerning is that the average 13-year-old from a Christian home who attends public school already believes it.
Secular Humanism
| Page Summary: Secular Humanism is presented as a de facto religion built on naturalism, evolution, and rejection of the Bible’s plain meaning. The page argues it dominates American culture, functions as an atheistic worldview, but ultimately cannot explain the universe without implying a primary cause or Designer. |
Secular Humanism
is the religion of Marxism, Nazism, Socialism, Communism, and Progressivism, and within the
past 50 years it has become the dominant religion in the United States of America. To claim that
Secular Humanism is not a religion is to deny the very basis of the English language.
The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
defines “religion” as:
1 : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices …
3 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
Secular is defined as:
a : of or relating to the worldly or temporal
secular concerns
b : not overtly or specifically religious
secular music
c : not ecclesiastical or clerical
secular courts
secular landowners
2 : not bound by monastic vows or rules
specifically : of, relating to, or forming clergy not belonging to a religious
order or congregation
a secular priest
3 a: occurring once in an age or a century
b : existing or continuing through ages or centuries
c : of or relating to a long term of indefinite duration
secular inflation
Humanism is defined as:
3 : a doctrine, attitude, or way of life centered on human interests or values especially : a philosophy that usually rejects supernaturalism and stresses an individual's dignity and worth and capacity for self-realization through reason : SECULAR HUMANISM
Secular Humanism is defined as:
: humanism (see HUMANISM sense 3) viewed especially as relying on reason, logic, and naturalism (see
NATURALISM sense 2)
as opposed to religious dogma and supernaturalism (see SUPERNATURALISM sense 2)
Some items on the spiritual person's shopping list are easily supplied by secular humanism.
Easiest of all are two that people often find intuitively the most perplexing: how can there be meaning
in life and moral values in a world without gods?
— Julian Baggini
Secular humanism was the seeking of a middle way between dogmatic belief in God and militant atheism.
— Anthony T. Kronman
… as the author states, his secular humanism offers a cosmic outlook on the universe and our place in it …
— GenevieveStuttaford
And, finally secular humanist noun
… as a secular humanist she has a moral and ethical belief
system that is very similar to those found in many of the great religions. She just doesn't believe
in gods, the supernatural, or an afterlife. She is, instead, guided by reason, science, logic and a desire to
find a common ground and love, between all people.
— Claire Knight
[Tim] Madigan says secular humanists can criticize dogma and statements of faith while retaining
working relations and friendships with people of many different religious beliefs.
— Michael McAteer
Please notice that in the quote using the term “secular humanist” above, that “… she has a moral and ethical belief system that is very similar to those found in many of the great religions.” If her “… moral and ethical belief system” is “very similar to those found in many of the great religions,” it is therefore de facto a religion!
In fact, I would argue very strongly that the foundational basis for secular humanism is deeply engrained in two underlying speculative philosophies, the first of which is the spontaneous appearance of the universe (the so-called “Big Bang Theory” or the equivalent) followed by billions of years of “cosmic evolution,” the second of which is some form of evolution (amino acids to homo sapiens), neither of which can be empirically evaluated. As stated in the video above, the third tenet is that “the Bible cannot be taken as plainly written.” All other tenets of that religion must not disagree with these three foundation stones.
Secular Humanism has become the “default” atheistic (i.e., no God) religion of most Americans. We are truly living in a post-Christian country. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have mercy on us!
Since this article was originally posted, proponents of modern science have asserted that, with a sufficient grasp of quantum mechanics, the universe could have arisen spontaneously from nothing—driven by quantum forces operating according to the underlying laws of nature. They contend that this explanation removes the necessity of intelligent design or a divine creator. Yet, they have not identified the origin of these “quantum forces” or of the “laws of nature” themselves—both of which presuppose some prior condition or initiating event. And since every reaction requires a preceding action, the existence of these forces and laws must also be explained. To accept this theory of a spontaneous universe, one must also accept the premise that both the “laws of nature” and “quantum forces” spontaneously emerged from the same “nothing” that allegedly produced the universe—and are therefore, paradoxically, unnecessary. No matter how far one regresses this “cause and effect” argument, it inevitably arrives at a self-existing “primary cause.” Design still demands a Designer.
