(in no particular order)
Q. What’s the difference between the “mark” and the “number” of “the Beast”?
A. The “mark” (Rev. 14:9) is never equated with the “number” (Rev. 13:18) in Scripture. They are two different things. The “mark” is evidently some sign of loyalty that most will take. It’s something that must be taken voluntarily. It can’t be taken by mistake and it can’t be forced on anyone, but those who are loyal to him may take either his name or the numerical value of his name (Rev. 13:17). That’s why I have no fear of “the chip.” However, we must all remain aware because “false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” (Matt. 24:24) But notice that Yeshua said that the elect would be misled only if it were possible; but it is not possible to mislead those who remain immersed in the Word and connected to Yeshua.
The “number” is simply the numerical value[GN] of his name when it is written in Hebrew. (Rev 13:18; 15:2) [See also “The Mark of the Beast.”]
