olam עוֹלָ֑ם
Hebrew עוֹלָ֑ם has no equivalent in English. It is variously translated as long duration, antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, world, ancient time, long time (of past); (of future) for ever, always; continuous existence, perpetual; everlasting, indefinite or unending future, eternity. But these are all inadequate. In the Hebrew mind עוֹלָ֑ם encompasses all of time and space as well as everything that exists beyond our space/time contuum.
Olam Habah
(alt. Olam HaBah or Olam Habba) (lit. the world to
come) depending on context, refers to:
• the life of the soul after death,
• the time after Messiah comes, or the Messianic Kingdom Age,
and/or
• the “new creation” of the Revelation 21:1.
