c. The Complaint of Miriam and Aaron (12:1-16)
1 Miryam and Aharon spoke against Moshe because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman. 2 They said, “Has ADONAI indeed spoken only through Moshe? Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And ADONAI heard it.
3 Now the man Moshe was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth. 4 ADONAI spoke suddenly to Moshe, Aharon, and Miryam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!”
The three of them came out. 5 ADONAI came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aharon and Miryam; and they both came forward. 6 He said, “Now listen to me! If there is a prophet among you, I, ADONAI, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream. 7 My servant Moshe is not so. He is faithful in all My house. 8 With him, I speak face to face,[8] plainly and not in riddles; and he sees ADONAI’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moshe?” 9 ADONAI’s anger burned against them; and He departed.
10 The cloud lifted from above the Tent; and Hinneh, Miryam was leprous, as white as snow. Aharon turned toward Miryam, and Hinneh, she was leprous.
11 Aharon said to Moshe, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. 12 Please don’t let her be like a dead baby whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
13 Moshe cried out to ADONAI, “Oh God, please heal her!”
(Maftir) 14 ADONAI said to Moshe, “If her father had merely spit in her face, wouldn’t she remain in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days, and after that she may be brought back in.”
15 Miryam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people didn’t move on until she was brought back in. 16 Afterwards, the people went on from Hatzerot and camped in the Pa'ran Desert.

Haftarah B’ha‘alotkha is Z’kharyah (Zechariah) 2:14(10) – 4:7
Listen to it read from the Complete Jewish Bible
10 (2:14) Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion! For behold, I come and I will dwell within you,’ says ADONAI. 11 (2:15) Many nations shall join themselves to ADONAI in that day, and shall be My people; and I will dwell among you, and you shall know that ADONAI-Tzva’ot has sent Me to you. 12 (2:16) ADONAI will inherit Y’hudah as His portion in the Holy Land, and will again choose Yerushalayim. 13 (2:17) Be silent, all flesh, before ADONAI; for He has roused Himself from His holy habitation!”
3 1 He showed me Joshua the high cohen standing before ADONAI’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. 2 ADONAI[GN] said to Satan, “ADONAI rebuke you, Satan! Yes, ADONAI Who has chosen Yerushalayim rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel. 4 He answered and ssaid to those who stood before him, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Hinneh,[GN] I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”
5 I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.”
So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and ADONAI’s angel was standing by.
6 ADONAI’s angel solomnly assured Joshua, saying, 7 “ADONAI-Tzva’ot says: ‘If you will walk in My ways, and if you will follow My instructions, then you also shall judge My house, and shall also keep My courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by. 8 Hear now, Joshua the high cohen, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign; for, hinneh, I will bring out My Servant, the Branch. 9 For, hinneh, the stone that I have set before Joshua: on one stone are seven eyes; hinneh, I will engrave its inscription,’ says ADONAI-Tzva’ot, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 10 In that day,’ says ADONAI-Tzva’ot, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’”
4 1 The angel who talked with me came again and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 2 He said to me, “What do you see?”
I said, “I have seen, and hinneh,[GN] a lamp stand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps which are on the top of it; 3 and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”
4 I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
5 Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?”
I said, “No, my lord.”
6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is ADONAI’s[GN] word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says ADONAI-Tzva’ot. 7 Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”

Basar
(Gospel)
John 19:31-37
31It was the Preparation Day and the next day was a High Sabbath. So that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the stauros during the Sabbath, the Judeans asked Pilate to have their legs broken and the bodies removed. 32So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who had been crucified with Him. 33But when they came to Yeshua and saw that He was already dead, they didn’t break His legs. 34However, one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.
35The one who witnessed this has testified so that also you may believe. His testimony is true and he knows that he is telling the truth. 36All these things happened so that the Scripture would fulfilled: “Not one of His bones is to be broken.” [Exodus 12:46; Numbers 9:12; Psalm 34:20] 37Again another Scripture says, “They will look at the One Whom they pierced.” [Zechariah 12:10]
Kepherim (Letters, optional)
Messianic Jews (Hebrews) 3:1–6
1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Emissary and Cohen GadolHigh Priest of our confession: Yeshua, 2 Who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, just as
3 For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moshe, because he who built the house has more honor than the house. 4 For every house is built by someone; but He who built all things is God. 5 Moshe indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, 6 but Mashiach[GN] is faithful as a Son over His house. We are His house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
